Every sunrise

Every sunrise is a present, a gift from God above,
Gift-wrapped with scarlet ribbons and tied with bows of love.

Each day's a new beginning, a time to start anew,
While all the stars are sleeping, and the rose is fresh with dew.

Every day's a new creation, too lovely to ignore,
And we may find a blessing, just outside our door.

We cannot keep the past, like fireflies in a jar;
Nor journey to the future by wishing on a star.

Every sunrise is a blessing, a gift for just today.
Rejoice, my friend, embrace it before it fades away!

May we enjoy our gift of today.

Thanks for reminding me about a gift of TODAY. And thank you for your nice comment on my Alaska post. While being there, in Alaska, I thought often about a contrast between that wild, quiet, simple and beautiful place and the rest of the world, busy, noisy, corrupted and commercialized. My garden is my refuge.
Thanks again and you have a beautiful day.

Good morning LeSan ~ I've missed these posts. Not sure I'm being notified about this blog. I need to check it more often. Yes, life is precious and fleeting. It could so easily be taken from us. May we enjoy each day that we are given.

Autumn Belle ~ Glad you liked.

Tatyana ~ Being in the countryside away from cities is so uplifting, and recharging. My garden is also my refuge.

Thank you all for visiting and your kind comments.

Hi Mrs. E. ~ That is a beautiful purple. Not all of our sunrises look like that.
