The rainbow

“The bow shall be seen in the cloud.”

- Gen_9:14

The rainbow, the symbol of the covenant with Noah,
is typical of our Lord Jesus, who is the Lord’s witness to the people.

God’s rainbow is hung over the cloud of our sins,
our sorrows, and our woes,
to prophesy deliverance.

It is said that when we see the rainbow the shower is over.

Certain it is, that when Christ comes, our troubles remove;
when we behold Jesus, our sins vanish,
and our doubts and fears subside.
When Jesus walks the waters of the sea,
how profound the calm!

C.H. Spurgeon

Lovely thoughts here.

We often see rainbows shooting out from the farmfields around our house. We've taken many photos, but none seem to capture the true beauty of the rainbow. These words surely do capture that beauty!

These words reveal the strength of the promise!

Good morning to all.

Kat ~ Rainbows always make me gasp with delight and wonder. It is always wonderful to be reminded of God's promise to the world.

Darla ~ Thank you.

Jennifer ~ It is hard to capture the true beauty of rainbows, at least for me. I've seen some real beauties, even doubles out over the ocean when I'm coming home from work, and don't have my camera.

Aimee ~ You are welcome. Congrats on your pillows too.

Mrs. E ~ I know just what you mean.

Whispering Creek House ~ Thank you.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.
