What is your song?

Below is an excerpt from the book 'Seeking a Simpler Spirit'

by Deborah DeFord.

***

In the natural world, every created thing has its own music:

The whisper of tall grasses.

The creak of tree branches.

The clapping of leaves and the clacking of stones.

The lap of soft waves and the thunder of breakers.

The chuckles and chatter, trills and caws, of beasts and birds.

The patter of rain and the soughing of wind.

All these are the songs God's creation lifts up to its Creator.

What is your song? Let yourself make a joyful noise before God today.

What very nice thoughts to start my day with the music. I am so tired of being cold, but I will go out and feed my birds and be glad I am warm enough to work inside today. Beautiful light shining behind the clouds.

Good morning everyone. Yes this photo is mine. It was taken back in 2003, after we had had some tornado weather. I found it in my picture files and thought it was a good bit of nature's song.

I can sure understand you all who live in the winter lands, being ready for spring.

Hang in there enjoying whatever you are doing indoors. Pretty soon you'll be outdoors playing in the dirt and doing other outdoor projects.

Have a great day and the rest of the week too.

Great photo! It's so true how all creation glorifies God in so many ways. It also groans in anticipation of God's redemption of it and all those who know Him when He comes again. Then, will we be singing along together His praises even more gloriously for eternity.
